What other people say

Don’t let people’s compliments get to your head and don’t let their criticism get your heart

UNKNOWN

Do not let what other people say affect you too much. When getting a nice compliment, welcome it, enjoy it, but do not let it get into your head so that it influences your actions and decisions too much.

In the same way, a hard word or criticism, you should not allow it to get into your head. Do not let it affect you negatively. Maybe there is a reason behind the criticism that you are not aware of and that does not have anything to do with you. But you accidentally get in the way when someone else is having a bad day. So do not make too much out of this if there is really not a good reason behind.

Either way, compliments or criticism, this can affect the way you talk to and treat others, if you do not pay attention. Some people are good at giving a lot of compliments and others are less skilled. When letting nice words affect you too much maybe you start favourising a person good at giving compliments and that can be dangerous, since you are then letting compliments get to your head. And do not treat people differently even if you get critic. Try to welcome it and see what happens. Criticism and feedback can help you to develop and increase your self awareness! Treat it as a lesson of life and try find the reason behind instead, to find insights and things to note for yourself in future. When changing mindset and not letting it get into your heart but treat it as a lesson in personal development, you can actually turn this into something good!

As always. Wish you the best. Take care. Namaste.
