Good things happen to good people

I do believe that good things happen to good people. Do good and you will receive. The world of yoga and meditation is about getting to know yourself, your mind and your body. You work with your self awareness by turning inside, listening (more) to your inner thoughts and feelings. By being in silence you will find out what is really you. What is important to you. What are your values. What is your purpose. Sometimes we forget over time who we really are, and by taking the time to meditate regularly and listen to your inner voice, you will find your way back. With an increased self awareness, you will find the “true you”,

By getting up early in the morning, (read more about this by looking into The 5 AM Club posts here) you will have the time both to exercise, meditate and grow, by reading a book or in other ways educate yourself. This is the best time of the day to do meditation. Also, before going to bed, to close the day, is valuable.

Once you find your true self and feel comfortable with this, you will start to develop the wish to help others. Do good for others. And by doing good for others you will get good things in return. For sure.

If you have not already, try to meditate for a few minutes every day. Starting the day with meditation is the best. There are a lot of apps and other tools that can help you with this, if you need some assistence to get going (and if you want some tip or advice on this, just write me a comment below). Try it. You will not regret it. 🙂

Wish you the best. Take Care. Namaste.

Do you believe in coincidences?

Photo Cred today Roberto Nickson

Do you believe that things that happen to you are a coincidence? Or is there a deeper meaning and purpose behind? Is there such a thing as coincidences? When meeting a friend you have not seen for ages but has been thinking about a lot lately, and he or she suddenly appears in front of you in the street. Or you find the watch that you have been looking for and thought were lost because you suddenly got an idea that you should go through and clean your wardrobe. And suddenly, there lays the watch..!

I get the feeling a lot of times that someone is helping me, unconsciously telling me, showing me in the right direction. It is a powerful thought that your mind can actually show you the way. If you have the ability to listen. I believe that everything happens for a reason. So when you are aligned with something you truly want, things will happen. And when you meet someone “by coincidence”, that means that they are aligned in the same frequency you are, and the possibility that the two of you will meet is very likely.

As always. Wish you the best. Take Care. Namaste.

Do you take any risks?

Photo cred today Min An

Do you take any risks in life or do you play it safe? Starting this morning with Yoga with Adriennes new June calendar Expand, the first video being Yoga for risktakers. Thinking about that taking risks is really to live your life more fully and expand your world. What is familiar and close, keeping within your comfort zone, is the often the easy and more common choice. But what about if you take a risk sometime, instead of playing it safe? There is actually a lot to win.

Take that chance when it appears, if it is a new job, moving to a new place, letting people into your life, following your dreams, if it is starting a new career or doing something you always wanted. Go for it! The worst that can happen is you not taking the risk, and ending up regretting when it is too late.

Wish you the best. Take Care. Namaste.

What do you have to give?

Life isn’t about what you have; it’s about what you have to give.

OPRAH WINFREY

When having the mindset that life is not about what you have, but what you have to give, you will start to see things differently and act differently. I like this quote from Oprah Winfrey, it says it quite well. The most important is not about what you have for yourself, but what you can offer to others. Keeping this in mind when meeting and interacting with other people will help you keep focus on others, instead of yourself. In today’s society I see a lot of egoism and me me me mentality.

When you think about what you have to give to others you will also discover (or rediscover) your own strengths and your positive sides, maybe to find out that you have a lot more to give than you thought at first! Or you get reminded of what you have to give. Either way, this will help strengthen your self-awareness and keep developing as a person. What do you have to give?

Wish you the best. Take Care. Namaste.

Celebrate and appreciate your mother

Photo Cred today Pixabay

Celebrate and appreciate your mother – always! Your mother was the person giving birth and putting you into this world. And even if you do show her appreciation also other days of the year, it is nice to have this Mother’s Day to highlight and give some extra attention to all mother’s in the world. Yogis or non yogis 🙂

Mother’s have a very important (sometimes the most important) role in keeping the family together, often being the project manager of the family, managing and planning all family activities, what food to put on the table, the person you really need when things get tough. Your mother is the person you want to hug and who comforts, supports and loves you unconditionally, all the time, always, from the day you were born.

Celebrate your mum, show her your appreciation and give her a big loving hug, saying to her you love her. A lot of times, we take things for granted, thinking she already knows. But I promise, she will be very happy to feel and hear your appreciation. So on Mother’s Day, cherish if you still have your mother close, and tell her. So that you do not regret later on about the things you did not say. If you wish, you can see this as an exercise in personal development. Being able to show appreciation and telling others you care is a very valuable skill to have.

Note: With this said, of course the father is as important as a parent, in the family, and have as much responsibility in taking care of the family. Luckily, there is also a Father’s Day and then we will talk more about the role of a father.

Note 2: Mother’s and Father’s Day are celebrated on different days of the year in different countries, so if you do not celebrate officially today, you can still give your mum some extra attention and appreciation. It does not matter what day of the year.

I wish you the best. Take Care. Namaste.

Enjoy the little things

Photo cred today Tina Nord

Enjoying the little things in life will help increase your quality of life and your happiness. It is not always easy, when going through life being busy all the time, and you risk missing out on the little things that is really worth noticing.

Enjoying the little things can be to stop and admire a beautiful flower, smelling the air of a summer morning, enjoying your kids laughing, eating a cake or a fruit slowly and really taste every piece it. Enjoying a cup of coffee, the summer sun, a butterfly in the garden, a sunset, looking at beautiful nature, the wood or the sea, yes the list can go on and on 🙂

Also, giving or helping someone else, can be listening and guiding in a tough question or challenge they have, can be giving someone a hug when they need it. Notice the joy in others when doing this, when you make a person you care about happy, that is really something to enjoy.

To help you if you find it hard to see these little things to enjoy in your everyday life, one way is to start writing a gratitude journal every day. I do this every night, to make myself aware of these small things that I have enjoyed during the day. And by doing so every day, you will automatically get better and better in finding these small moments to treasure. There are plenty of them. Every day. And by noticing the little things, you do not need to strive for the “big” things as much, you do not need to go on a vacation far away or win the lottery, or being rich, or whatever you strive for, to have a happy and great life. Start today by finding your little things to enjoy!

Wish you the best. Take care. Namaste.

Focus on what is important

Photo cred today Pixabay

Focusing on what is important is key. And I think that the Covid pandemic has actually helped us to focus. Focusing on what matters when everything around us is not anymore as it used to be. When you cannot be everywhere, do everything, all the time. We hit the PAUS button. And what was left was the things that mattered the most. Taking care of the family and reaching out to our loved ones, relatives and friends, asking if they needed any help, calling them more often to check that they were ok. We have started to care for each other again, in a way that is not possible when you are being busy all the time, running from one thing to the other. And caring for your loved ones is what really matters, and what you (always) should focus on.

Focus on and choose carefully what activities you do. Try not to do everything, but the things that really matters. If you love yoga, do yoga. Focus on this, and do not feel guilty that you do not do all other activities as well, that others might do.

Focus on what you spend your time on when working. Try to find the top-5 that really will make a difference in your work. And focus on those! Everything else should not be taking too much of your valuable time. By focusing on the top-5 you will be able to come forward and make a real change, step by step, one day at a time.

I hope these thoughts can be of help and inspire you to challenge some of the things you do today. Do you spend your time on the right things? Do you have the right focus?

Wish you the best. Take Care. Namaste.

Shine in the world

Photo cred today Pexels

To live your life fully and ”go out and shine in the world” is a good mental image I believe. Show the world who you are and what your are about, and do it with excellence! To shine in the world can be to show your beautiful inside by supporting and helping, encouraging and friendly pushing, those around you. Always with others best in mind. And you will see that by putting others in the spotlight, the light will shine back at you. In a good way.

Wish you all the best. Take Care. Namaste.

Be a good human

We all have been given a life to live and have every possibility to make the best out of the experience of being a human. It is up to you to take good care of your life and be and act the way you believe in. Being a good human.

An interesting area to explore (if you have not already) and that can help you reach your goals and find greatness in life is the world of crystals. They can guide you and support you when working with the goal of always being the best version of yourself. To help you with your well-being within, feeling good, feeling strong and feeling healthy, and sharing this to others, by being kind and helping others. This will help you in you personal development as well as developing others.

If you want to learn more you can read for instance the book “Crystals – the modern guide to crystal healing”. This book introduces you in a simple way to the world of crystals, and guides you through the most common crystals, how to use them and what their specific magic is.

My personal favourite crystals are the Rose Quartz (to strengthen your positive sides and to bring happiness into your life), the Citrine (for bringing energy and success into your life), and the Amethyst (to protect you and calm your mind). Which crystals will be your favourites?

Wish you the best of luck with exploring the world of crystals.

Persistence gets your further

Ok, so I did finalize the 66 day challenge in the 5 AM club! And I just keep going. Found out that the morning routine is helping me take control of my day, have a moment for myself before everyone else wakes up, and this is priceless.

The 5 AM club gives you the possibility to exercise, to reflect and to grow, bit by bit, step by step, little everyday actions that adds up to greatness. So – persistence get you further indeed. Do not quit too soon. Do not give up. If you believe in something, you go for it, even if it is hard at times. You will face obstacles, you will have doubts along the way, is it not always easy, but if you stick with it, you will be rewarded. Decide what you want, and then go for it!

Wish you the best. Take Care. Namaste.
